Fairground Rules Rules and guidelines for promoters and patrons.

  • Madison County Fairgrounds is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles.
  • All Madison County Fairgrounds facilities are used at the personal risk of all patrons.
  • No alcoholic beverages allowed on premises.
  • Promoters and patrons must vacate the premises immediately following their scheduled time slot or event.
  • All dogs must be on a leash.
  • Open riders must be out of the arenas 30 minutes prior to any scheduled event.
  • Do not tie horses to arena fences.
  • No props are allowed in arena during any open riding time.
  • Arena must be rented to setup barrels and poles or to run cattle or goats.
  • Do not turn horses loose in arena areas.
  • Promoters and patrons are responsibile for their own clean up. If you have props, you are required to put them up and take them down. This includes barrels and poles.
  • If maintenance is required, we may need to enter the facilities during your reserved time.
  • Do not enter any arena when it is reservered for use, even if it appears empty.
  • Madison County equipment may be used only by Madison County Fairground employees and Fair board members that are insured.
  • All renters may be asked to reschedule if an event needs to be scheduled during their time. The Madison County Fair and its events have priority.
  • Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Same day reservations are not accepted.
  • There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. If cancellation occurs after that time, hourly users will be charged at $50 an hour. If inclement weather or temperatures arise, you are still required to make a courtesy call to inform fairground management. If done, the user will not be charged a cancellation fee.
  • If your reservation time goes unused for 2 weeks in a row, it will be given to somebody else unless you make prior arrangements with fairgroud management.
  • Failure to comply with any of these listed rules will terminate any future use of Fairground facilities.
  • Report any accident or damage to the fairgrounds management. In case of emergency, call 911.
